Dev Log : Overall Plans and systems 002
Hello, everyone!
I’m thrilled to share some updates on our game’s development progress for the game jam and what my plans are.
1. Project Motion Integration: We’ve been hard at work over the past few weeks on our custom iteration of GASP, which we’ve dubbed Project Motion. This animation sample pack has been a major focus, and we’ve made significant strides in replicating its systems. We've introduced several improvements in C++ networking, including network lerping and advanced lag compensation techniques, to ensure the gameplay is as smooth and seamless as possible.
2. Game Lobby System: To streamline the development of our game lobby join/host system, I’ll be integrating code from the Survival Game Template by Dapper Raptor. This will accelerate our progress and could potentially save us a few days of development time. 3. Advanced Session Implementation: We’re also enhancing the game’s connectivity features by implementing advanced sessions using C++ classes. This will support multiplayer interactions through both Steam and LAN.
